If you are a science - fiction book or graphic novel addict, you might know Neil Gaiman. I called him as a rockstar of bestsellers author in the world (means, i agree with The Columbia Daily). The reasons not only just because the way he creates the unpredictable story but also he is so multi-talented in making some artwork at literary world.
Well, my first flirt to his artwork is Neverwhere. The way he plotting the stories bring me to deep curiosity. Dont believe it? Just read his books and you will find another-crazy-adventures. And Richard Mayhem, the main character in this novel really appear at mini - series at BBC and of course, the main man behind of this series is Neil Gaiman. How about the movie? The rumors said that he is currently working this novel into movie. Oh.. me so really cant wait.
As i was writing before, Neil Gaiman not just a bestsellers author but also the multitalented-one. He creates graphic novels, comics, movie and tv-series, song lyrics and he is also a journalist. God give him so many bless :-)
From my first flirt; Neverwhere, i continue to enjoy another artwork of him : Coraline and Stardust Movie. The gloomy story and visual imaginary of Coraline makes the movie so really great. I felt so scared when watched this movie while i know, Coraline is only a kid. But you wont believe, i felt so happy to laugh when watched Stardust. Ehem... i love Tristan at that movie, handsome.
And now, i'm enjoying his delayed-ten-years-novel, Interworld. This novel was made from the collaborations of Neil Gaiman and Micheal Reaves.
You might thinking about his achievement and another fact of him when you read this, right? According to wikipedia, he started to get the award from 1990 until this june 2010. Just mention, Nebula Award, Bram Stroker Award, Hugo, Newbery Medal and others. From the awarding event for children to adult at so many countries. Did-you-know fact about him is his first book was a biography of the band Duran Duran (Ghastly Beyond Belief) at 1984.
I was wondering about the way he puts some science terminology at his books, ehm... it might influenced by family background; his parents were scientologist. But his crazy mind went wilder after he read books from JRR Tolkien, Micheal Moorcock and the science-fiction-gank.
How about his personal life. His having two kids and lovely girlfriend, Amanda Palmer who is also a singer.
